DIY Studio was just starting out their business and looking for a creative marketing partner. They were referred to us by another client that we have done everything from graphic design and photography to video production and web development for. There was a DIY Studio logo that had been made but it wasn’t super functional and didn’t quite have the look and feel they wanted for their business. It felt like it had been made on a computer which is far from what essence of the business is.
We sat down, explored the mission and concept behind this new business and then went to work creating the logo as well as other branding assets. It needed to feel hand made to fit the DIY theme but still be professional and work across building signage, letter head, window graphics, and a variety of other mediums. In the end we came up with a style that fits a hand crafted classic feel that you might see carved into wood or stamped into leather. While the text and lines are neat and orderly they still have a slight distressed look to the edges giving it some character in it’s imperfectness.
