Eric Cooley the inventor of the Doughy Maker had a simple problem: his product was great, his marketing wasn’t. He had spent a fair amount of money in the past on marketing but sort of got burned. The Doughy Maker is an interesting product because no body knows what it is so they aren’t really LOOKING for one. However, if people see it in action and experience it, it is an easy sell.
Obviously Eric couldn’t demonstrate it to everyone and so we needed a way to offer that experience without him or other sales reps being everywhere all the time. We decided a point of purchase display with a video that loops would be a great option. They had previously produced a video that had some good footage but not great for the video loop. Using that footage we made a re-edit of the video that was a bit more visual and concise. The point of purchase display resulted in not only increasing product awareness but selling to many customers and many repeat customers.
Along with this we also revamped his website and automated his ordering process. In the past Eric had to manage everything which was a lot of work. With the new site and ordering process an order can be placed online and fulfilled without Eric needing to touch a thing. Eric can now sit back and just be notified of sales when they happen.
